Bugyaal (in Uttarakhand’s local dialect) is a meadow located in the high-altitude range, these are natural flatlands surrounded by mountains, making it a perfect place for cattle to rest and graze.

It is a truly special word for the people of Uttarakhand, a safe place which calms our minds and is home to the purest flora and fauna of the region. Bugyaal aspires to be a compilation of indigenous foods, culture and community of our native land - Uttarakhand.
Bugyaal - The brand is a tribute to the heritage of Uttarakhand. It is an attempt to exhibit the nutritional value of the forgotten foods of Himalayas to the world. We realised that there was a need to revive a dialogue about nutrition, food traditions and make it accessible to the city life. It is a sort of ‘Homecoming of the forgotten foods’ of the region. While taste is a priority for us, all Bugyaal products are made with clean, traditional and natural ingredients and we ensure to deliver the best quality products.
With mass migration being a stark reality in Uttarakhand due to lack of opportunities in the villages, Bugyaal is deeply committed to generate employment for rural women, help them build new skills and empower them to be financially independent. These women become the torch bearers of the brand where they lead the way to introduce the world to local produce and the ‘Pahadi way of life’
