HIMALAYAN ORIGINS

 

Himalayan Origins was started by Neha Parmar and Soumya Parmar. Our story goes something like this: One of us sisters (Neha) is an environmentalist and a wildlife photographer while the other (Soumya)  has been an avid traveller and a leading digital marketing expert, both on a never ending quest for a plastic free and chemical free life. We like to believe that human beings were put on this earth to be the gardeners and guardians of this beautiful and bountiful planet. Somewhere the tribe has lost track and instead of harmony chose the path of utter destruction. Through our products we hope to bring the best to people and also reduce the plastic waste that this planet is facing today.

We launched Himalayan Origins towards the end of the year ending 2020. The idea behind the creation of this brand was to promote a more holistic way of living while respecting our moral and ethical responsibility towards Mother Nature. We used our natural surroundings in the lower Himalayas to build products that are natural and devoid of any harmful chemicals while ensuring they were zero-waste and plastic free. Our shampoos and conditioners come in soap bar formats versus bottles, our serums and oils come in glass bottles versus plastic and all of our body soaps are packaged in paper versus plastic. Our products are safe and gentle for you as well as for the earth. As we like to believe we are “On Earth, For Earth”. We also decided to use this opportunity to create employment for the local women and men in Uttarakhand which has proved to be very empowering for them during these difficult COVID driven times.
